Kayak features
This sit on top-kayak is very stable, unsinkable and easy to get on and paddle. Excellent for first-time paddlers, families and those who enjoy a calm ride. This kayak is not suitable for open water kayaking. The Hamari water area is very sheltered.
A double kayak can be paddled by, for example, two adults, an adult and a child or two adults and a child under school age or a dog between them. Also suitable for paddlers with limited mobility with an instructor.
The recommended maximum load weight for this kayak is 210 kg.
What you need to bring
The water dripping from the paddle may wet your pants. So come prepared with a change of pants, quick-drying pants / swimsuits or shell pants during colder water. Shoes may get wet, so rubber boots or sandals is a good choise.
The double kayak does not have storage compartments for belongings. You can comfortably carry two backpacks on the deck, but they may also get a little wet, so you may want to bring a plastic bag. The rental includes a small dry bag for phones and keys. Your own zip lock bag also works well for valuables.

The price includes
The price includes a life jacket, a small dry bag and a Hamarikupla treasure map. There are a limited number of life jackets for small children (under 30 kg). If possible, we recommend that small children bring their own, securely fitting vest.

Cancellations
Kayaking will be canceled for safety reasons if there is continuous heavy rain, thunderstorms or strong winds and waves. In these cases, we will contact you by email or phone. The payment will be refunded or the reservation will be moved to another date.
With the right equipment, kayaking is fun in all weather conditions from spring to autumn. Cancellation is possible 7 days before the reservation date. Cloudy weather, etc., is not a reason to cancel the reservation. If the renter encounters an insurmountable obstacle, it is possible to request a change of the kayaking date within the same calendar year.

Hamari is an excellent base for exploring the nature, islands, reed chanels, beach restaurants and cultural history of Porvoo. The map included in the price will guide you to the right routes.
