Kayak features
We have two Zegul Playspirit kayaks and one Wilderness Systems Zephyr kayak for rent. All kayaks have a large seat opening, opening cover, pedal adjustments and a fin, and the Zeguls also have a pedal-operated rudder. Choose the kayak that suits you best when you pick it up.
All kayaks have three waterproof compartments for belongings, as well as rubber straps on the deck.
NOTE! These kayaks are NOT rented to beginner kayakers. By renting this kayak, you confirm that you have taken the Paddle 1 course or have otherwise acquired sufficient knowledge of closed kayak paddling.
The kayaks are wide-bottomed and stable, but if you are not familiar with the rescue methods of a closed kayak, rent our more beginner-friendly open kayak.
What you need to bring
As a kayaker who has previously enjoyed kayaking, you will be able to assess the clothing and equipment you need. It is recommended to paddle kayaks with light slippers or barefoot.
The rental includes a small dry bag for phones and keys, for example. Your own minigrip bag also works well for valuables.

The price includes
The price includes a life jacket, a small dry bag and a Hamarikupla treasure map. There are a limited number of life jackets for small children (under 30 kg). If possible, we recommend that small children bring their own, securely fitting vest.
Hamar's unique natural treasures can be found with the treasure map
The treasure map tells the tale of the incredible history of the long-lost Sawmill Islands, the best resting places and the most beautiful routes through the water lily lagoons.

Cancellations
Kayaking will be canceled for safety reasons if there is continuous heavy rain, thunderstorms or strong winds and waves. In these cases, we will contact you by email or phone. The payment will be refunded or the reservation will be moved to another date.
With the right equipment, kayaking is fun in all weather conditions from spring to autumn. Cancellation is possible 7 days before the reservation date. Cloudy weather, etc., is not a reason to cancel the reservation. If the renter encounters an insurmountable obstacle, it is possible to request a change of the kayaking date within the same calendar year.

Hamari is an excellent base for exploring the nature, islands, reed chanels, beach restaurants and cultural history of Porvoo. The map included in the price will guide you to the right routes.
